Description:

"Monozyogotic is a project comprised of a series of images which explore the identity of twins. The mirrored and merged images I have created use sets of identical twins to form one 'singleton' identity through digital manipulation. Thus I have created completely fabricated portraits of people who exist outside these images.
"As an identical twin myself, I have always been fascinated by the complexities of developing a unique personal identity when you so closely resemble another in appearance and mannerisms, and I explore this within my body of work. The physical similarities of twins can often undermine their indisputable individuality, and here I have tried to examine this through literally merging them into a single identity." |
