Exterior detail: side of building - flint stone infill. Timber-framed public building (16th century) with stone and brick infill (17th century). Now houses a museum and is still used for council meetings. Grade 1 Listed. Originally housed 6 small shops at ground floor level with the meeting chamber on the first floor.
