Detail. Photographer's statement: "Michaela Oxley is a fine art photographer, whose work is predominantly based around abstraction and close up photography. She is interested in small, hidden details and enjoys bringing them to attention in a way that makes the viewer look at the subject in a different light. 'Discard' takes that idea further by picking out the beauty in subject's that are often left behind and forgotten about. Photographing different reptile skins, Michaela intends the viewer to admire the form, colour and texture that is often unnoticed in these discarded, fragile items."
