Description:
|
Detail. Photographer's statement: "For this project I have produced a series of intimate portraits of the female members of my family. These women have inspired me throughout my life, and have helped to shape me as an individual. These portraits are an insight into the relationship between these women and myself. I have not instructed my family to dress a specific way, or told them where to sit; these decisions are for the sitter. Thus allowing them to influence the output of the photographs. These portraits have themes of gender studies, femininity and also performance in front of the camera. I am interested in creating images that my sitters will be happy with, in an elevated snapshot aesthetic."
