Description:

View of exhibited work. Photographer's statement: "It is easy to make assumptions about certain groups of people; the news and tabloids sell papers by sensationalising; extremist minorities make for a more interesting 'read' than coverage of the majority who quietly get on with their lives. As a result, certain groups of people are often misrepresented. Christianity is a topic I have always been interested in; growing up in a religious family and attending church every week I know Christians to be generous, kind people trying to live their lives in a good way. This project explores the individual nature of church goers, creating an identity for my subjects who are often openly dismissed. Each portrait is accompanied with text, and shows the unique nature of my subject's faith and how it impacts on their lives."
