Exterior view: composite photograph of the Southbank Centre. Queen Elizabeth Hall - left - foreground and Purcell Rooms - centre - middleground (GLC - Department of Architecture & Civic Design, 1967). Hayward Gallery - centre - middleground (GLC - Department of Architecture & Civic Design, 1968). The triangular shapes on the roofs are skylights for the individual galleries. This is part of The South Bank Arts Centre, now called the Southbank Centre. The Royal Festival Hall (1951) - not visible here - was built for The Festival of Britain - the other elements are the Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Purcell Room (built in 1967), and the final building was the Hayward Gallery (1968).
