Description:
Detail: photograph. Text accompanying the show reads: "I have always enjoyed shooting the beautiful world we live in and the vast array of landscapes that surround us. For myself, the most influential have been those closest to home, the Yorkshire Dales and the Yorkshire Moors. Having been surrounded by them throughout my childhood it is only now that I have begun to appreciate and understand the true beauty, which these places epitomize. / The Footprint of Man demonstrates how man's footprint is evident on the landscapes and how this can be overlooked. Each of my photos features an example of this and within the images is a sign of man's absent presence, in varying degrees of subtlety. I have taken my photos digitally because I felt this allowed me to show the delicate details hidden in the landscape and to ensure I did them all justice." Location: in the Gallery in the Furnival Building.
