Description: 
Exterior view: the University Chaplaincy Centre (centre). The building is composed of 3 circular 'lobes' which meet in a three 3-pronged spire. One lobe contains an Anglican and Free Church chapel, another a Roman Catholic Chapel, and the third has rooms used by other faiths. First floor space includes flats for the Catholic and Anglican Chaplains, a Buddhist meditation room and offices. Opened on 2 May 1969, the architects were the Preston-based firm Cassidy & Ashton. Lancaster University's Bailrigg Campus built (1965-) on land donated by Lancaster City Council in 1963. The University was established in 1964. Lead architects : Peter Shepheard and Charles Epstein of Shepheard & Epstein. The original campus was completed 1971. [This image was anonymously donated to Sheffield Hallam University]
