Description:
|
Exterior view: (left) The Chamberlain Memorial (by CHAMBERLAIN and SALVIATI BURKE & Co., 1880) and (right) corner of The Central Library (MADIN, 1974). The latter is a mixed use building: the Central Library is on the upper floors and with shops and a pedestrian through-route (Paradise Forum) at ground floor level between Centenary Square and Chamberlain Square. Scheduled for demolition when a new Central Library is completed in adjacent Centenary Square (building work for this began in 2010).
