Description:
|
Interior view: The Penguin Pool. The pool is no longer thought a suitable place for keeping penguins, but as a listed building Grade 1 must remain in the zoo, although it is now unoccupied. A revolving fountain keeps the ramps wet. The flat paths are coated in plastic rubber and the steps are made from slate. The pool was listed in 1970 and restored in 1988.
