Description: 
Phase 1 (completed in 1950). Exterior detail: facade of Chaucer House. To the rear is the lower half of the accumulator tower, which used waste heat from Battersea Power Station to heat the estate. Location: Pimlico, Westminster. A four phase development built for Westminster Council between 1947 and 1962. The scheme comprises of 1,783 dwellings within 40 different blocks set in gardens near the River Thames.
