Description:
Exterior detail: ornate carved wooden window with adjacent decoration and elaborate brickwork. Built to accommodate six different shipping companies and now in use as the Grand Hotel Amrâth. The architects worked as a co-operative. One of the more flamboyant works of the Amsterdam School shaped like a moored boat - the starboard side is on the Prins Hendrikkade and the bow (shown here) points towards Amsterdam Central Station.
