Description:
|
Exterior detail - Faiences. These were made by DOULTON of Lambeth. One was saved from demolition and installed in a niche in the entrance to Safeways as a work of art. It has subsequently been made removed and its whereabouts are not known. The store at the bottom of Ecclesall Road was extended (c.1939) but then demolished in 1989 and the entire Moorfoot site replaced by a Safeways Supermarket and carparks.
